About the Author
Kieran Brightwood crafts epic fantasy stories that invite readers into adventures across distant realms. He is the author of Sorglos’s Saga, set on the world of Jord. He began writing tales for his four children and now builds new realms for a wider audience. His work blends adventure with irony and tongue-in-cheek humor, often weaving together elements from different eras to create unexpected twists.
His stories are ultimately hopeful, following protagonists who must confront the consequences of their own decisions—and grow because of them.

Q&A
The author will answer selected reader questions submitted to the website Contact page. Here are a few to get started.
Why did you choose Sorglos as the name for the main character?
Sorglos means carefree in German. Having a name that was unique, memorable, and pronounceable was the goal.
Why didn’t you set the story on Earth?
A whole new world allows an author to stretch his imagination and not be bound to a historically accurate picture.
What is the message that your book intends to convey?
To engage readers with a positive future despite the problems that life throws at them. Too many YA fantasy-adventure stories paint a dystopian fate for humanity.
